A paradise
Through time, the idea of paradise was important. Its significance lies in its ability make the human experience meaningful and enjoyable regardless of the fact that it is inevitably fleeting. Paradise is a sanctuary of peace and prosperity. It is a place that is outside ordinary historical time and thus is not afflicted by illness or crime, as well as death. It is also a place where there are always healthy and youthful beings.
Paradise is described in many different ways, from the Garden of Eden of the Bible to the lush Pacific Ocean islands of novels and Gauguin's paintings. It is even visible in the contemporary world thanks to the rise of communes and the renewed interest in gardening and outdoor living. In fact the word "utopian" brings images of a paradise. Although not all utopias are religious, they often contain motifs of paradise and are designed to reflect certain characteristics of paradise in actual conditions.
The word"paradise" has multiple meanings and all of them refer to the state or condition of extreme beauty and pleasure. It can also be an ideal location for a particular sport or pastime. For instance golfers' paradise or a hummingbird's paradise. In a religious context, it can be a reference to heaven, which is the place where the righteous go after they die.
The word paradise has been used in a variety of languages, but its origins are found in Avestan which is an ancient Iranian language. The word pairidaeza is derived from the roots pairi "around" and daeza "wall". It was later translated into Greek as paradise and was later used in Hebrew and other Aramaic Scriptures.
In the Bible The Bible describes paradise as the Garden of Eden, where the first couple lived in a stunning environment free of diseases and death. After they disobeyed God, however, they lost their paradise. In later Bible prophecies, heaven is portrayed as a place in the eschatological future, where the happy people of the world can live forever. The term "paradise" is used to describe a spiritual or psychological state that is a state of total happiness and joy.
